REMIGIA
“REMY” BERMÚDEZ
After a successful 21-year career in community economic development and 27 years of volunteer community service, I became a bilingual education teacher in 1999. I know that the future of San Diego’s children is at risk.
The Eighth District desperately needs leadership with the knowledge, courage, principles and conviction to guide our City through these hard times.
I am committed to the fight for our communities’ fair share of the City’s resources.
District 8 is in dire need of vibrant, livable and safe neighborhoods. We need to secure housing opportunities for all, improve infrastructure, increase public and police services, and focus on our city’s financial stability.
I understand how City government works and I want to make it work for our communities.
With a Master’s degree in City Planning, I’ve tackled local and regional problems, always creating solutions in partnership with our neighborhood residents and citizen planning groups like Sherman Heights Revitalization Team, Otay Mesa Development Committee, Southeastern Development Committee, Golden Hill Community Development Corporation, SY Commercial Border Crossing Task Force.
I offer honesty, integrity and commitment to deliver.
Let me be your voice.
